Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests and provide them with exceptional service throughout their meal
Guide guests through the menu, including making recommendations and answering questions
Take accurate orders and enter them into our point-of-sale system in a timely manner
Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper plate presentation and food temperature
Monitor and anticipate guests’ needs and assist with any requests including refilling drinks, providing additional condiments and utensils as needed
Respond appropriately to complaints and bring them to the attention of management
Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down tables, cleaning tables and workspaces, and ensuring the restaurant is clean and tidy
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure the best possible dining experience
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
At least one year of experience in a restaurant serving capacity preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Ability to work on their feet all day and lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
The Server role is physically demanding and requires the following abilities:
Standing for significant periods of time
Walking, lifting, bending, and twisting movements
Clear communication, as the role involves taking orders and interacting with guests
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds to move chairs and dining tables and transport orders to guest tables
